From the Eastside. Branding VfL Ostpfeil
In 2024, we collaborated with VfL OSTPFEIL—a streetwear brand rooted in personal heritage and inspired by the spirit of German football culture. Founded by a designer proud of his family’s origins in Breslau and Königsberg, the brand channels a strong East German identity through a modern lens.
We crafted a full brand identity and messaging system that honoured this legacy while staying bold and street-ready. The logo is a sharp, minimal arrow pointing east, symbolising both direction and defiance. The name itself—OSTPFEIL, meaning “East Arrow”—became a statement of pride, purpose, and provenance.
Core phrases like “Provinz, not Pretence” and “Von der Ostseite” formed a messaging framework that merges German heritage with football terrace energy. From visual identity to taglines, every detail reinforces a distinct voice: proudly regional, fiercely authentic, and built for the street.
